About Pat Brosnan

Law Enforcement Career

Pat is a son of the Bronx, born and raised in the South Bronx, and a recognized subject matter expert on law enforcement, national security, counterterrorism, and public safety. His expertise was forged during a 14-year career as a detective in the NYPD’s South Bronx Robbery Squad, where he personally arrested more than 1,000 felons and seized over 300 loaded handguns from the streets. In 1995, he was injured in a line-of-duty shooting, and went on to become the first officer in NYPD history to be named New York State Police Officer of the Year, chosen from 62,000 officers. By retirement, Pat was recognized as one of the most highly decorated detectives in NYPD history, earning over 130 awards for valor.

Entrepreneur & Security Leadership

After leaving the NYPD, Pat founded Brosnan Risk Consultants in his basement and built it into a national security powerhouse, employing more than 7,000 professionals and operating in 525 cities across 43 states before its acquisition by the world’s largest security corporation. He later launched Brosnan Investigative Group, a premier firm specializing in:

  • Corporate Due Diligence

  • Fraud & Internal Investigations

  • Asset Tracing & Recovery

  • Litigation Support

His success drew the attention of the Investigation Discovery Channel, which, with Lionsgate Studios, produced Brosnan: Nowhere to Run, based on major cases from his investigative career.

Inventor of Record

Pat is an inventor of record for the Brosnan Smart Security Solution (U.S. Patent 10311692B2)—an innovative model for risk mitigation designed to deliver actionable intelligence rapidly to investigators in the field.

Media Commentary

For over two decades, Pat has provided analysis on Fox News, Fox Business, CNN, MSNBC, Inside Edition, WPIX 11, and Fox 5. Known for his direct, unapologetic conservative perspective, he brings clarity to major criminal cases, and domestic counterterrorism.

He is the former co-host of Brutal Facts with Patrick J. Brosnan on the Joe Piscopo Show and will debut Pat Brosnan Live from the Batcave on 970 AM on October 11, 2025, airing weekdays from 12–1 PM.

Philanthropy

  • Archangel Blue Foundation (2015): Supports families of fallen officers and funds rewards to capture cop killers.

  • Save a Child Program (2019): Mobilizes national resources to recover missing and exploited children.

Pat also commissioned a 1700-pound, 11-foot bronze statue of Saint Michael the Archangel, which stands at his home “somewhere in Gotham” and travels to memorials for fallen officers as a powerful symbol of solace.
